Asynchronous Squirrel Cage Motors (IEC)
SIMOTICS high voltage asynchronous IEC motors are the perfect solution for applications which call for high efficiency, maximum reliability, compact construction and running smoothness. They are available for mains and converter operation in power ratings from 150 kW up to 38 MW, voltage from 2 up to 13.8 kV, 2-16 poles, speeds up to 15,900 rpm, all usual cooling types, degree of protection up to IP66, in all usual types of explosion protection, also double protection. Suitable also for demanding environments, they fulfil all of the international certifications and sector-specific requirements.
Compact Motors
SIMOTICS HV C compact motors from 150 kW to 7 MW with high voltage asynchronous technology feature a focus on compactness and cooling concepts for low installation heights and extreme protection requirements.
Modular Motors
SIMOTICS HV M modular motors feature a wide range of high voltage asynchronous motors up to 19 MW with diverse cooling top frame options. They are also available in both standard and various explosion protection types.
High Power Motors
SIMOTICS HV HP high power motors follow the range of the modular series to even higher power ratings, in asynchronous technology up to 38 MW. Available in standard, non-sparking and pressurized protection classes.
Specialized Motors
SIMOTICS HV Specialized Motors cover a wide range of high speed or application-specific motor designs. Ranging from 1 up to 30 MW with speeds up to 15,900 rpm and various construction and cooling designs based on the application’s specific requirements.
Asynchronous Slipring Motors (IEC)
Asynchronous IEC Series 5 slipring motors cover a power range from 0.3 to 8 MW with modular cooling concepts such as air/air and air/water heat exchanger or open circuit. They are suitable i.e. for mill applications with fixed speed drive systems.

Synchronous Motors (IEC)
Siemens rugged high voltage IEC synchronous motors are used in a wide variety of applications, which call for the highest power and torques capabilities, as well as a maximum plant availability. In applications such as central gas compressor stations, blast furnaces, rolling mills or ore mills. They are available for mains and converter operation in power ratings from 2.1 up to 100 MW and higher, voltages from 1.5 kV up to 13.8 kV, torques up to 2500 kNm and speeds from 7 rpm up to 7000 rpm in the double-digit megawatt range. Housing, mounting, active components, ventilation and cooling system are optimally matched to each another. Thus, they set the benchmark when it comes to reliability.

SIMOTICS HV high power synchronous series with modular cooling concepts such as air-air and air-water heat exchanger or trough ventilation. High Torque Motors
SIMOTICS HV high torque synchronous series. Modular high-voltage synchronous motors, with torque ratings extending up to 2460 kNm, specifically designed for main rolling mill drives with high dynamic performance and smooth-running quality. Typical applications include rolling mills in the metals industry as well as mills, hoists and conveyors in the minerals industry.
Specialized Motors
SIMOTICS HV specialized synchronous highest power ratings. Modular high voltage synchronous motors, with power ratings extending up to 100 MW (or higher on request) and with speed ratings up to 7000 rpm, specifically designed for compressor applications with very high power and speed ratings. Typical applications are high-speed compressor drives, POD drives for ships as well as gearless ring drives for ore mills and excavator drives for surface mining.
